What is a mantra?

Most mantras starts with sound Aum (Om) followed by Gods name or prayer to God. The symbol of AUM is drawn differently in different languages but its origin is found in Ajna chakra energy center. When one seats down in comfortable position and concentrate between the two eyes (location of Ajna chakra energy center) and start to do mantra in a steady peaceful manner on daily bases, one starts to see peace, steadiness, focus, and joy emerging which leads to balanced life, higher intuition, and to clairvoyance that should lead to better understanding of God within this lifetime in this body.

Shri Krishna Mantras
Most famous Shri Krishna mantras are listed below, however there are secret mantra that only a self realized guru can give to individual that are not publicly listed. Nonetheless all mantras secret or public if done with pure consciousness and focus with devotional love to God result in the same elevation of the spirit.

Om Krishnaya Namah
I bowed down to Lord Krishna

Om Sri Krishnah Sharanam Mamah
To beloved Lord Krishna, I pray to take me under his protection and shelter.

Hare Krishna Hare Krishna
Krishna Krishna Hare Hare
Hare Rama Hare Rama
Rama Rama Hare Hare

This mantra is made from 3 words—Hare, Krishna, Rama, and their combination has different meaning depending on the meaning of Hare. Hare can be interpreted as “Hari” or “Hara”. Hari is another name of God meaning “he who removes illusion”, and Hara is another name of Radhaji (Krishna’s eternal consort or Shakti). Krishna and Rama refer to God himself, meaning “He who is All-Attractive and attracts everyone towards him.

Any of these mantras can be done with love and focus toward God will yield the same results. It is understood by wise that whatever we think about continuously we start to become. So if one continuously thinking of God we will become spiritually. Any mantra done with proper clean consciousness will finally give one the understanding to see God’s presence in every atom of this creation. Without God’s presence (God energy) nothing we see can be sustained, and God’s energy is so perfect that it lets nothing go to waste and maintains balance in everything.
